Do you need a FTO (flight training organization) or a RF (registered facility) to learn to fly a privately owned aircraft (Reims Rocket)

yep!!! Must be conducted through a registered FTO from a licensed or government aerodrome. The reason I did not get into teaching ab initio.

You need to be operating under the umbrella of a FTO or a RF. They are two totally different beasts.
