Guys - due to fighting Bliars wars I can no longer maintain FI AND IR currency - just cannot get time off the Sqn.

What to do? Let the UK ATPL(A) lapse via not doing the IR Renewal anymore (plus it is getting expensive with the new reqts). And maybees do the JAR CPL writtens thus "cementing" my CPL/FI?

Or sod the FI and hang out for a TP job with 1000 hours GA FI and keep the IR only going (and thus the ATPLs keep "refreshed").

I havnae a clue what to do!!!!!

If you have passed the ATPL writtens and have an IR and FIR then you only have to renew those ratings as required (there is no ATPL 'lapse')
