FAA instruction in the UK
There seem to be a lot of people with FAA Instructor ratings conducting BFRs in the UK, but is it possible for an FAA CFI to give instruction towards an FAA PPL on an N-reg aircraft in the UK? I would assume dual instruction would be possible as the CFI has an ICAO license and is PIC, but what about sending someone solo?

FAA Instruction in the UK
Hi rudestuff,
I think you will find the following is the case; That it is fine for an FAA only qualified FI to do bi-annuals for FAA qualified PPLs in the UK, and indeed in a 'G' registered aeroplane. To give instruction to a student pilot leading to the initial issue of a new PPL can also be carried out in a 'G' reg aeroplane, but requires that the instructor should be dual qualified. thanks, having read through the ANO a bit, it seems anything can be validated at the discretion of the CAA - and I heard that it might be possible in this case, as long as the student actually owns the aircraft. anyone?

The one thing you cannot do on the basis of a foreign licence validation is flight instruction.
