Nato Jumpers.... scratch scratch
Has anyone come across cotton versions of the woolly Nato pully? ... itch ...scratch :ouch:
|
just wash it to buggery. Goes from itch scratch, to frayed holes.

Ah, washing. Being clean. Hadn't thought of that. Start my FIC next week. I should probably have a shower before then...

Use a decent fabric softener and dose the correct quantity. Lube those fibres!

Best way to deaal with a NATO jumper is to pour avgas all over it then throw a match on it.
Then go down to PIRMARK and buy a fleece of your choice. When said fleece becomes a safety hazard due bacon grease, BO etc. Just bin it and buy another one. The body warmer type fleeces I found the best as they allow your arms to be free without your sleeves catching on anything. And if you get cold on a navex you can pull your arms inside to keep warm. |

Cannot stand NATO style jumpers - the reasons are three-fold:
1. They remind me of my time spent in the ATC on drill. 2. As stated above, they itch like buggery. 3. They make me look ancient. I'll stick to my shirt and jacket taa. Anyone else remove their clip-on tie as soon as they climb in the aircraft? I hate having my top button done up. :yuk: VFE. |
