Logging PIC time in experimental jet

Am I able to log PIC time in a multi-engine experimental jet since I hold a AMEL rating? I assume yes since there is not a "type rating" issued to anyone as it's still experimental which IMO is fair game with a AMEL rating.

Thoughts?

What licence do you hold? FAA, JAA....what?

What ratings do you have within it?

If you are pilot in command, of-course you can - Test Pilots don't ignore the flying that they do before the aircraft is certified.

Best clear it with your company Chief Test Pilot if unsure.

If you are flying under FAA regulations, as I understand it any time the aircraft is classified as experimental, all that is required is a pilot certificate to be PIC. Meaning technically you can be PIC on an experimental multi engine airplane with a balloon license!
