FAA BFR Preparation
Hi there,
What would instructors recommend to brush up on most for the FAA BFR - anything in particular being looked out for? Cheers VT |
I'm presuming it's for a PPL single engine BFR? In that case probably about 2 hours with an instructor, about an hour spent answering questions about chart symbols, airspace, regulations and procedures etc, maybe have to plan a nav leg. The flying pretty much like any dual check you could expect. Nothing much to worry about, just a check of your basic knowledge and to see if you can still fly safely.

I've found Jackie Spanitz' "Guide to the BFR" is very useful prep for the ground based element of the review. It's available from the usual aviation catalogues and also from a well known Internet bookshop.
