Conversion to UK

Anyone know anything about the possibility of converting Australian instrument and instructor ratings to UK?

Assuming you have already converted your licence to a JAA licence, to convert your instructor rating you must do a minimum of 15 hours flight training and 30 hours ground school, then pass the test.

Do they think we in the 'colonies' simply fly around for a bit and get a license as of right? When will they recognise our qualifications for what they are worth?

They seem to think only the British CAA know how to fly.... :(

Message for Wibbly P - Why is it that people converting their instructor ratings have to begin right from the beginning (25 solo send offs, IMC upgrade course etc.) in order to remove their restrictions? Is there any reasoning behind this or is it because there hasn't been time yet to come up with a sensible option for foreign instructors yet?
