Removing the (R) in FI(R)...

Does it matter to the CAA what exercises you have "auth'ed" ie most of mine are Ex. 12/13E.

Also - when you have the requisite 25, is it "the Law" that you MUST fly with your CFI (yet again) to "prove your worth?"

Happy (prosperous) New Year, folks.

Kind regards

The recomendation is that you should have authorised a cross section of exercises from the syllabus which may include Navigation, General Handling and Circuits.

The Instructor Form 2 must be signed by a FI(A) nominated to the CAA as part of the Registration (AIC 30/99). Once complete, there are no other requirements.

If the CFI wants to fly with you, its his perogative! The "Law" does not require it.
