FI Course Part-Time

I was wondering if anyone could help me? I am a recently qualified JAA fATPL who has gone back to work to pay of his debts but would like to become an instructor. Work is going well and I am reluctant to give up my full-time job. I would like some advice on studying part-time for the FI rating i.e. studying during the week, flying at the weekends with the aim of become a weekend instructor. Is it possible, has anyone done it? Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks for your help. :D

It is possible. That's exactly how I did it. Great fun and a good way of doing it if you're not in a hurry.

Regards, GT.

I did so, being lucky enough to work for an FTO offering the course. Very worthwhile, though you must push yourself to get it done as I got a bit busy, let it trail and it took hard work to pick it back up to complete in minimum hours. Good luck!
