FI Renewals

One of the ways to renew an FI Licence is to attend a seminar. (I know it is necessary to do two of the three options, my question though is only about the seminar). My question is, can the seminar be run by any FIE or must it be done only at places approved by the CAA. I suspect the answer lies somewhere in LASORS but unfortunately I don't have access to it. Thanks for any advice.

The 2-day seminar must be run by one of the approved service providers, not just by any FIE. There are currently only 3 such approved service providers in the UK: AOPA, ETA and On-Track. Go to the CAA website and look under 'schools'- that will give you their contact addresses.

Thanks. I've done as you suggested. Having checked the prices, and allowing for travel costs and accommodation, it seems that it would be cheaper to do the flight check. At least I can log that. Thanks again, though.
