Multi-engine FI rating

Anybody know where I can do the 5 hour course for multi-engine FI for a good price?

As I understand it 5 hours in the aircraft plus an hour for the test plus paying the instructor and examiner amounts to some £1600.

I would be willing to go anywhere within reason to do it cheaper than that. Especially since I originally did my twin rating in the States for about £60 an hour !

Also as I understand the regulations in JAR FCL you can do the training at least in a suitable sim. Anybody know where it would be possible to do that?

2 1/2 years teaching PPL single engine and I need a new challenge...

Thanks

Don't forget the course has 25 hours ground school.

There are no simulators (STDs) approved for this course.

Do you have the pre-entry requirement of 30 hours MEP of which 10 are in the last 12 months?
