OxfordSaudia Flight Instructor

Anyone have any experience with this ATO as Flight Instructor?
On glass door web site there are some negative comments about them.
Any review comments you want to share?
Cheers

No idea about the school, but it's commutable from Bahrain. If you like beer, bacon and bikinis.

Stupid to who? Licenses are only a piece of paper and lots of authorities issue them like toilet paper. I think it´s each employers choice, what type of instructors (or any other employee group) they see fit for their purpose. Credentials are not all in a license - only.

All over the world, as far as i know, you can be a flightinstructor, as long as you maintain your flight medical. No matter how old you are !!
But not in Saudi and other Arab countries, UAE, and Indonesia included.
When reaching the age of 65, your done !
That, I think, is a waste of experienced aviators, with a lot of knowledge !
To my opinion that is stupid policy !
That is the point I am trying to make !!
Have a good day guys and dolls !

Many years ago when I worked In Saudi (flying), the retirement age was 58 & 3/4's !! This was the law (then)! Obviously improved!

This company is a joke! Mostly, its very well known for their unprofessional behavior among the experienced instructors.
As an example (first hand knowledge), 2 of my friends with tons of experience did interviews with them about a year ago. One even spoke Arabic. They told him that he would be called to fly over for a flight assessment, then nothing! Months after him, chasing them through emails and phone calls, they told him that the management had changed and he needs to do another interview. He did it again and once again, he was told that he would be flown over for a flight assessment. And once again: dead silence with no replies whatsoever to any of his emails.
The first candidate didn’t even bother to chase them.
Their ongoing adds and multiple changes in management during the past 1.5-2 years should be a good indication of their operation.
So, I would probably be hesitant to even consider a job with them.
Good luck

Don’t just don’t. Don’t even think about it, in fact don’t even think about thinking about it!

Had a similar experience with another employer. This shady 'cat and mouse' process is sadly becoming more common
