Removal of FI Night Instruction Restriction

Is there a requirement to undertake a 'formal' course wihin an ATO to remove the above restriction. FCL 905 FI requirement seems to suggest that it is only necessary to demonstrate competence to FIC/E. Form SRG 1133 would suggest some course of training required.
Any views or recent past experiences?

Tks chrisbl. Still just trying to determine whether this has to be done at or through ATO, or whether an independent FIC can sign it off.

Must be conducted at an ATO.

Tks Whopity. That will do me. As usual, trying to decipher some (or most) of part fcl invariably leads to more than one possible interpretation. At this stage of the game it really shouldn't be like that. ( or maybe it's just me!!)
