CAP 1855 - Amendments to the Aircrew Regulation

Couple of queries on this recently-issued CAP:

Private theoretical examinations (pg 4), quote 'Applicants for the LAPL(A), LAPL(H), PPL(A) and PPLH) can claim a credit for the Navigation exams from 21 December 2019'. Does anyone know what this credit is please? I can't see anything quoted in the quoted references to Subparts A and B to the Aircrew Regulation.

Training courses for the issue of a CPL and ATPL (pg 7), quote 'All applicants must have flown 50 hours as PIC in Aeroplanes as part of the 150h total flight time requirement for the issue of the CPL(A)'. Presumably this should read '....to commence the CPL(A) training course'?

Many thanks
HW

1. Under FCL.120, 'navigation' is now a common subject in the LAPL A/H and PP LA/H syllabi, rather than a 'specific' subject 'for different aircraft categories. This comes into effect on 21 Dec 2019. Appendix 1 to Annex 1 of Part-FCL credits theoretical knowledge 'common' subjects for a holder of a licence for one aircraft category (e.g. aeroplane) towards another (e.g. helicopter); hence this credit will now include 'navigation'.

2. The Modular CPL prerequisite now states that of the 150 hr required before starting the flight training course for the CPL, the applicant must have gained at least 50 hrs PIC in aeroplanes - it also now lists acceptable flight time credit for PIC time gained in other aircraft categories.

Thanks BEagle, understood. Looks like the wording in CAP 1855 for the CPL requirement is a typo then - it refers to 50hrs as PIC as part of the 150 hrs total flight time requirement for the issue of the CPL(A) rather than the start of the training course.
