Renewal of B737 rating

Hi, I have an EASA Atpl with 4500 hours on B737 Classic and NG, but I have not flown for 8 years. Can anyone recommend somewhere to renew the rating and approx cost. Many thanks.

You can't "renew" after 8 years! You have to do the full initial again.

I thought it was a recommendation that you have to do the full rating and it was up to the training provider as to how much training is required. But having not flown for a while I would guess I probably do need the full rating and so I ask can anyone recommend a suitable place to do the rating?
Thanks

You are correct in what you say. Good luck finding an ATO that will let you get away with less than the full course. I've been down this road myself and there is now a conflict of interests giving the decision to a profit making training provider! They want your money and as much as they can screw you for! I did manage to persuade one to give me abbreviated training but they then priced it as double the full course cost.
