Chief Pilot/Fleet Manager Assessment
My experience, for those approaching this particular burning hoop, to jump through: Did my CP/FM (CASA Australia) check last week. Took basically the day, some going over legislation questions then a flight planning written examination. Straight forward, OGE/IGE performance graphs, basic flight planning, then a CofG problem. Very fair, no trick questions. Then after lunch the flight in our trusty B206. CCT work and autorotations. The testing officer was very fair and created a relatively relaxed atmosphere, allowing me to hold back the test nerves! Amazing how fast the day went!
Happy to say so far, I have found the CASA examiners I have encountered to be professional, create a pretty level cockpit gradient/assessor/assessee gradient, which is good. :) |
