Power Available
 
I getting the jist of the thrust curve, however am still unsure with factors to do with the power curve. I understand that when breaking inertia we have a large increase in power available from start of our roll. But why does our power available decrease as our speed gets faster down the track?

POWER = THRUST x SPEED

The thrust available from a typical piston engine/propeller combination is high at low speed and then tends to reduce slowly with increasing airspeed. The rate of reduction increases as the speed increases, due to propeller inefficiencies.
