Power Available
I getting the jist of the thrust curve, however am still unsure with factors to do with the power curve. I understand that when breaking inertia we have a large increase in power available from start of our roll. But why does our power available decrease as our speed gets faster down the track?

POWER = THRUST x SPEED
The thrust available from a typical piston engine/propeller combination is high at low speed and then tends to reduce slowly with increasing airspeed. The rate of reduction increases as the speed increases, due to propeller inefficiencies. Hope that helps, T&G :ok: |
