SEP renweal and something else

Hello everybody.
I would like to know where on EASA part FCL (or elsewhere) I can find what must be done by a SEP holder if the rating's expired let's say since 3 month, or one year. I'm only able to find revalidation procedures and requirements but not renewal. (ok maybe my fault...)
It seems to me that there are many things missing in 1178/2011 pdf on the website. I have to say that been an FAA FI accustomed to FAA FARs, EASA is not that good at all.
Thanks.

Training as deemed necessary by an ATO (could be nothing). SEP skills test with an examiner. This is like a mini PPL skills test. General handling, stalls, PFL, small nav route back to the circuit for a flapless landing for example.

Thanks, b.a.
The problem is that I cannot find it anywhere !
Do you know which rule states that ?
I ask because since I'm in the process of becoming a FI here in Italy where I work now, but I find hard to look through EASA stuff. (and I have to say that people who should know because of who they are, are quite vague about the subject to say the least).

This can be found in FCL.740. It should come just before the revalidation requirements, which are in FCL.740.A The flight test is referred to in FCL.740 as a 'Proficiency Check'.

Rest assured, it's not just in Italy that people are more than 'a bit vague' on this. ;)

The requirements are laid out in the AMC 1 FCL.740 (b)(1).

It's a Prof check not skills test unless the rating is not on the licence anymore.

As already stated its now called a Profficiency Check which according to FCL.010 is for for Revalidation and Renewal

‘Proficiency check’ means the demonstration of skill to revalidate or renew ratings, and including such oral examination as may be required.
Re the Nav Section 3A, Appendix 9 to Reg 1178 States:

(d) Section 3A shall be completed to revalidate a type or multi-engine class rating, VFR only, where the required experience of 10 route sectors within the previous 12 months has not been completed. Section 3A is not required if section 3B is completed.

Ah the age old is section 3A mandatory for an SEP class VFR only.

Done in the UK then the CAA want it done however this need not be onerous. A simple get me back to the airfield from here will suffice.
