Validity Date of a rating

Till what date is the validity of a rating?
  • last day of the month
or
  • current day of the proficiency test

Does CAP 804 clarify this?

It's whatever date your Examiner has put on it. Under current rules your next renewal/revalidation should go to end of the month. In other words assuming an SEP runs out 14/7/2013 it should go to 31/7/2015 (if re-done before 14/7/2013).

Just my interpretation of course...........

Yep quite correct. It expires on the date shown on the ratings page. When renewed or revalidated it is to the end of the month from now on.

Thanks a lot...

Is it mentioned in CAP804, or is it somewhere else?

i think you will find it in the standards documents

It's in the aircrew regulation somewhere possibly in the ratings section. I will find it and post.
