CRI gound studies. (dispensation)

Good afternoon all
Did a quick search but failed to find the answer to my question, which is: is there any dispensation given to a qualified CRI if he/she then decides to go on and do the full FI (R) course.
Like I said did have a look but couldn't find anything specific.
Thank you.:ok:

Yes.

About 25 hours of groundschool I think - basically the teaching and learning element.

No dispensation for the flying components.

JAR-FCL1.310(b) or FCL.915(c)(1) - "Applicants for further instructor ratings (certificates) may be credited with the teaching and learning skills already demonstrated for the instructor rating (certificate) held". The teaching and learning element of all instructor courses (except the SFI and STI) is, indeed, 25 hours.

Dear Genghis and BB
Many thanks for the info. I knew there was no dispensation for the flying but at least if I go on to do the FI(R) rating there's 25 hours less to do in the classroom:ok:
Thanks again chaps for taking the trouble to reply.
