Pilot Dar got it right.

Unless you are 2 meters/6'6" tall, or need heavy body building for your job, C152 may just be fine.

More vegetables, fruits, no suggar and beer/pizzas, more gym are the answer most of the time.

I have seen many times students/instructors carrying too many pounds with them. It's unhealthy and it will cost you more during all you life (you will die sooner, you'll have to rent a more expensive airplane for your training, you will be sick more often, you will lose your medical sooner...).
