Start a flying school for JAA PPL?

Hi,

Does anyone know where i can get information on the rules and process to start a flying school just to teach PPL?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks

If its somthing you really fancy it would be easier/cheaper to buy a school/ club.
You will find it much cheaper than starting from scratch and you can spend the spare money making all the obviouse changes that are required.
You will also have money coming in from your investment straight away, no delays waiting for your manuals to be approved etc.
I have seen it used on here before but I liked it! The three things that close small business are Cash flow and the other two don't matter after that!
So have pleanty of reserve and keep it small and managable. :hmm:

That link did work a week ago??

Are you able to have an airacrft based at the airport on lease and just work as a self employed flight instructor without having a flying school or working for one?

I very much doubt it or there would be many doing that. The training provider has to be CAA registered which comes with a lot of paperwork and approvals.
