Yes do it! You haven't got many hours, but what you have got is very good quality....providing you have kept your own skills to a high standard ie setting power/attitude accurately and being fussy about maintaining height/hdg. If you are not in current practice on stalls & PFLs it would be good to get back to those before starting the course.

I really wouldn't worry too much at this stage about the FIC - pitched well the FIC is an enjoyable course for which your experience shall be more than enough to provide the ample preparation prior to commencement. In short, don't waste your time! Any self study work done prior to your course could be against your own FIC instructors way of doing things and as such could work against your good intentions.

If you want positive advice I would say work on sustaining your patience... avoid resorting to using hard drugs as a quick fix solution for stress and instead turn to alternative methods such as tai chi chaun or yoga. Practice giving life-saving advice through gritted teeth and brush up on how to handle tense situations without yelping, screaming or gripping your seat with white knuckles.

VFE. ;)
