JAA - FAA instructor conversion

I am proposing to gain my FAA instructor ratings as there would seem to be a market for BFRs/ICCs in the UK.

In addition to my JAA CPL and unrestricted FI (applied instument restriction removed) I hold FAA commercial/multi/instrument.

Any advice on what is required to convert in either the UK or USA would be welcome, as would any views as to whether it's likely to be worthwhile.

Thanks

PF

hello

To answer your question:
To get a FAA CFI, you have to take the 2 written tests and then a flight test. If you want the CFII another written (fir instrument)and a flight test, and for the MEI a flight test only. the written are easy as you probably already know.
Is it a good idea for business in Europe? I can't tell you but there are FAA pilots in need of a BFR or ICC.
Take care,

Flytoo;)
