Russian or Ukranian to JAA / UK

What if any credit is likely to be given in JAA UK CAA for a Russian or Ukranian ATPL converting....?
What about IFR and IR ratings if crew has only experience on CIS types ?
How long and how much £ to get conversion ?

Anybody with any practical experience in this I'd be real interested in learning. We may have a Moscow based aircraft to operate and it looks there is pressure for a local crew :-0 :yuk: :ugh:

 Where abouts in Russia/Ukraine did you get your license?

I would write to the UK CAA www.caa.co.uk under personell licensing. All I know is that Russia is or wasnt in ICAO.

Both Russia and Ukraine are ICAO member states. The credits given for those licences are, therefore, the same as for the licences of any other ICAO member state. Use the 'Search' function to research the requirements for converting, for example, a FAA licence - the requirements are just the same.
