TRI rate?
I need some sim prep time for an assessment and my former TRI offered his time and access to a certified simulator and I don't get to pay anything, no sim and no instructor. As a minimum, I really want to pay for a fair and well-deserved rate. Could you guys direct me as to how much an experienced freelance TRI/TRE makes per hour?

I've known some TRIs getting between 50 and 200 euros per hour, some even more.
Thank you for reminding us that not all pilots are a**wipes
No. But I have an alternative: I am no TRI but a humble CRI (and FI) and frequently coach former students and ex-colleagues for upcoming assesments, time permitting. I don't want to get paid for that, I rather ask them to pay it forward (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pay_it_forward) because I have had my mentors doing similar favors for me in the past as well. Of course I am polite enough not to refuse a bottle of drinkable liquid or an invitation for dinner which some of the trainees insist on sharing with me
