Logging landing during instruction

Flying Instructors & Examiners A place for instructors to communicate with one another because some of them get a bit tired of the attitude that instructing is the lowest form of aviation, as seems to prevail on some of the other forums!

Good, Bose-x had just shown me somewhere not to go to next
year when I renew my MEP and single crew IR. (Just have to
work out where "his" school is).

If I am paying £250 - £300 per hour (or more)
to fly an airways equipped twin I won't be very
happy to have an instructor spending my money
to keep current because the school isn't professional
enough to ensure that he remains legally
qualified to do the job I am paying that school
for.

Even with IR training, who's to say that the instructor didn't have to 'take control' to assist in a landing as the student was maxed out.
Who's to know?
Mind you have sat through some dreadful landings by instructors, so perhaps they should get more practise.

Where in the law is 90 day recency required to teach or test?

Any flight you do with a FI or FE legally counts as PIC for them, so you are paying for them to remain current whatever!

Your choice. You would be denying yourself the opportunity of flying with a great bunch in a sunny location.
