SEP ravalidation in other JAA member state
I hold a valid UK ATPL and will attempt to revalidate my Single Engine Piston (SEP), in order to take friends/family up. Problem is, I want to do it in another JAA member state. Is this possible, or will I have to revalidate in the country that has issued my licence?
Any info or reference appreciated,
Pelican

P.
You can renew or revalidate your SEP anywhere - member state or not. Just needs a JAA examiner to carry out the test (for renewal) or sign the logbook (for revalidation).

Sorry HG - quite correct - where the did I get signs the logbook from?
I was thinking of revalidation by experience when I thought of logbook - but it still doesn't get signed by the examiner. Good catch.
The FCL 150 page, however, doesn't call itself a renewal page - just a revalidation page. Pedantics, I know.

The problem is that national legislation in some JAA member states, including the UK, does not allow 'foreign' examiners to sign licences. I suggest that you contact the UK CAA to check the latest requirements - they do seem to change on almost a daily basis.
