Position of static vent

With regard to the static vent on aircraft, this is designed for reading static pressure only. When the aircraft is in flight the airflow is moving past the vent at high speed. Does this movement of the airflow (dynamic pressure in effect) cause air to be 'sucked out' of the static vent hence resulting in lower pressure and erroneous readings of airspeed?

Thanks in advance.

Lower (or higher) pressure depending on position, yaw, pitch angle, Mach etc etc. Corrected for by 'Position Error' correction.

.. and determination of PEC is often one of the major flight test program efforts ... not an easy or quick task at all
