Lightweight headsets...any experience?

Hello everybody

Hope this is the right section to post.

Has anyone bought/tested one or possibly both of those fairly new lightweight headset now available on the market?

I am interested in hearing about the LightFlight MACK1 and the ClarityAloft models. Similar prices, slightly different concepts, I wonder if they are worth the price or if it is better to stay close to traditional models like BOSE or DC X11 although price is almost doubled.

Any feedback?

Best regards

DK ;)

I'm not sure if it's the right forum either, but what the heck.

I've used Telex 750s in a variety of real and simulator cockpits. Pretty much universally I've found that the complete lack of noise attenuation annoys me, raises my stress levels, and reduces my (already arguably average) working effectiveness. I rarely use them now, save where there's a good reason to be regularly talking off-mic to other people in the cockpit, and then for only short sorties.
