I have done a ton of flight testing using my Sony minidisc as a data recorder. Works really well, is totally insensitive to G or turbulence, seperates everything into 5 minute tracks (and I synchronise the initial with my control sweep), and has a great shielded HOLD function that disables all of the other controls once it is recording so that it can't get bumped off.

Sure, its sooooooo 2003, but still a great piece of kit.

...except that the d#$n Sony engineers blocked high speed digital uploads from the machine...you have to pull off a .wav file if you want it on your computer...
