Help!
Hi there,
I am interested in a career in aviation, and was wondering if there are any courses available on the subject of crew planning, as this quite interests me. Any help would be much appreciated. Thks N11 |
nemesis11,
I can recommend a company called Avtech2000 for someone who is starting out. They offer a series of courses, most of which offer a recognised City & Guilds qualification at the end. Their website is http://www.avtech2000.co.uk (and no i'm not on commission!). UKOMA (United Kingdom Operations Managers Association) run a very good foundation course as well but I believe you have to be in the industry, and sponsored by the company you work for (this is also the best option for you as they pay for the course). Their website is http://www.ukoma.org if you want to find out more. The best option however is to work in the industry itself. Even in these dark times there are always companies looking out for ops/ramp staff somewhere.... Best of luck with whatever you decide Rgds BTS  |
Yeah, BTS is right best to get your experience from work. Even when you pass the course you still need to start from somewhere.
If you are really into crewing, why not write to some airlines/company whether they recurit any assistant position. It may be easlier and you can work and study at the same time. I don't know where you live but for startup generally, is easlier down south. Best of luck SAIIP;) |
