You're almost right, but I did have to make the occasional
tea which was a bit of a chore.

Where's your list by the way?

Jolly Hockeysticks 9th September 2002 16:31

Only your own tea, and then only because nobody else would make you one...:D :D :D

Life is good thanks DR! Do you ever hear from ND?

Have they let you lose yet in the RHS ?

Do the skies of the SW know what they are letting themselves in for ??

I'm safe here in OMDB or am I :D

Cheers 3 Off The Tee

Whispering Giant 15th September 2002 23:58

3off the tee

Havent heard from ND since beginning of the year - allthough i believe that RJ has - last i heard from him he was considering whether or not to move to Germany when Brittania op's re-locate there......

Nah your never going to be safe mate - just you watch out, once i've finished my Sponsorship might be chasing a job on A330's with your lot and have a nice easy life like you !!!!! it will make a change from the likes of JER and GUR being fogged out and the French beeing on strike...

Keep in touch mate - it's great to hear from you....

Fiction....

yep i know that Whispering giant is the nickname of the Brittania - as i've spent quite a lot of my spare time -which is'nt much !!! helping keep the last one that's potentially airworthy going...

wish we were lucky enough not to get WX prob's and ATC delay's...

oh well life would be boring then though !!!!!

Forgot to ask mate - how is your handicap now ????
have you leant to hit the ball yet ???? or do you keep getting them in bunker as your in the land of sand !!!

:D :D :D :D

Hi Fiction,

There's a blast from the past.
Unfortunately I didnt have the brain's to move around like you, but here goes -

12 Years with Ops and crewing,

Birmingham European
Brymon European
Maersk

Not too impressive when I look at who's kicking around and the fun they've been having.

Still - for what its worth, Brymon was the best experience. A good change of scenery and a good bunch of people on the whole. (In the scheme of things a complete waste of time but thats life!)

Fiction 24th September 2002 05:14

Yes Fred,

The Brymon European thing was a complete waste of time and very emotional for all staff concerned.

What was a complete disaster from the Brymon point of view was the abandonment of LCY after all those years of pain getting the operation up and running. Initially competing with London City Airways (BM), they dropped out and Brymon carried on until the merger. Now look how successful LCY is !!!

The Brymon folks went thru it ALL again with BACE and some have now ended up on Fraggle Rock.

But that is the business we are in and presumably that is why we do it. Again I know some folks in BA who have been grinding away at the same crewing jobs for nigh on 30 years...Who has had the more fun ????

reevesyk 25th September 2002 23:32

ok,why not add something

Gill Air/Gill Airways
TNT
Flying Colours
JMC

and now

Orange and mobile phones

Help me I need Ops/Crewing again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jelly Baby Freak 28th September 2002 02:29

Sussed a few old mates out there...

peterc - Eh up me duck! Thought you'd already drunk all the beer in Burton!

fred f - would I be correct in thinking that despite 3 airlines on your list you never moved far from BHX ((Hanger 1) via Sheldon and back on airport soil again?
