ACK message from US ATC

Hi to all of you guys,

question... As we receive ACK message from IFPS.. would be possible some how to have them as well from US? Additional to the CID number...

tks.

If you file in the correct format, you will get an ACK from the relevant ARTCC.

tks DC9,

correct format means? FAA? ICAO?

Either format.

HI

The ACK message from the US ATC FPL is hap hazard, we get rejections and call the relevant center and all is fine, and vice versa all filed ok and the tower says no plan received.

I always follow my plans with a call to the relevant centre to be sure.

Good advice from diesel but for me, I've not had any problems.

Actually we do call as well to get CID number.

What I was reading on the FAA site looks working properly only for domestic flights..

My £0.02: The FAA do send Acks but they can't be relied upon. For instance, I just filed a FPL in domestic format for a flight inside Texas, and didn't get one.
Getting the CID number is useful, but the best bet is to make sure that the crew get it in their paperwork, so that they can use it over the radio to the tower when requesting startup.
Putting the number of the relevant ARTCC in the paperwork is also a good idea... anything to reduce the amount of calls to Ops :E
