Original source for routes?

Hello!
I'm wondering where sites such as FlightAware get the route information from? For example if you look at AAL123 it shows the route as CEOLA4 CNX ZUN J78 DRK J231 TNP J10 LAX C1316 DINTY R576 DENNS MAGGI3.

(Refer FlightAware > Flight Plan Route Decoded > AAL123 > 27-Nov-2011 > KDFW-PHNL)

Are these routes sourced from the FAA? Is that orignal source available to the general public?
