Mexico Overflight Requirements

I have a question regarding Mexico overflight permission; Would a US registered 14 CFR Part 121 operator require an pre-organised overflight permission other than filing ATC flightplan prior to departure.

If there is any reference to whether this is or is not a requirement this would be exceptionally helpful.:ok:
