Can someone please tell me what role a Traffic Agent fulfills?

Hello mate. Are you still not in at Newcastle yet? Never heard of traffic agent. Hence the low replies maybe!!

If it's similar to a movement controller, they are basically operational staff who send movement messages / LDMs to other stations

Many, many years ago I was a 'traffic agent', but over the years titles change, a good example would be , 'Duty Officer', in my day that was a senior position, but I suspect that it isn't now?

I'm also aware that T+C's have changed somewhat, but if you're young and want to bounce out of bed in the morning looking for some fun (I still have some very fond memories of Scandinavian Hosties!), then there isn't a better job in the world.
