Anyone got a GA ramp operations manual?
Hi everyone,
I suddenly found myself in charge of training the ramp staff for a charter operator in an African country. It's not easy to train them to any standards as the educational standard is rather poor and I am also not really qualified for the job (I'm just a pilot). If one of you would be able to help me out with an operations handbook/manual for this kind of job in some generic form, I'd highly appreciate that. We operate Cessna Caravans and some Cessna pistons. Thanks in advance for your help and looking forward to learning more about your profession! The Captain |
NATA have avery good ramp training program although it is on line these days

Thanks a lot guys for your replies. What I'm actually looking for is some form of down&dirty instruction for light planes - for the employees of the operator.
- equipping the aircraft (bottles of oil, rags in the toolbox; sickbags, water bottles, lifejackets in seat pockets etc) - cleaning aircraft, type specifical (e.g. Caravan) I am currently writing a manual like that, so any input would be greatly appreciated. |
