JAR Ops / EU Ops Questions

Have just been asked to investigate JAR Ops and EU Ops, and wondered if any veterans can answer the following:

1. When do EU Ops superceed JAR Ops?

2. Does anyone know of a noddy guide to get JAR'd or EU'd up?

EU Ops superceded Jar on 16Jul08.

Isn't it amazing, that Europe is such an uncivilized world, where no info is distributed? Do we, as pilots, have to hire private detectives to find out, what regulations are actually in place? Did anybody see these regulations?
I used to fly in Canada and US and it is amazing how good those countries are compared to this continent. Anytime you had any questions, you found the answer without a problem. But here, everything is obscured.

Thanks vipero - that's one answer.

I've looked at EASA's site for 'the things you need to get EU-Ops'd' and, would you believe, there's nothing that simple.

Can anyone help? As a starting point, where do you get the books?

From Italian CAA web site (www.enac.it) "lista differenze" stands for "list of differences or differences list, as you like ;)
