Servisair Baggage Handler Interivews

Hi,

My partner has an interivew for temp baggage handler with Servisair. He was telephoned the other day and advised to be there at 10.00.

Can anyone please advise me of what the baggage handler interivew consists of? Is it a group excersise followed by a 121? Or is it a 121? What sort of questions do they ask and what sort of things should he prepare before going to the interview?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cannot imagine it will be that taxing, as long as he can remember his name and DOB he should walk it.;)

I'm doing what your partner is applying for.

My interview was a one to one with someone else present to take notes, it lasted 10 minutes!

Nothing too taxing, just the usual run of the mill 'why do you want to work for Servisair?' kind of stuff.

im guessing its BFS (Belfast International?)... more than likely a temporary contract as Servisair at Belfast has had a series of redundancies in the last 6-8 months

basically its nothing too difficult... as long as he seems keen, and shows he isnt afraid of heavy and constant work... Servisair deal with some of the heaviest charters during the summer..

1 word of advice is, if he is successful make sure he has references (must be quite detailed to prove he is who he is...) for the last 5 years ready (former employment, education etc...) as for him to get security clearance will take atleast 3 weeks from the date the forms are filled in... any delays in not having references can affect his job as he needs to be shadowed airside and escorted through checkpoints/doors

good luck to him
