Traffic Officer ?

Is this similar to a Dispatcher, just seen it used by Aviance uk?

Trash_Hauler 5th March 2009 19:58

No a traffic officer is an Operations Agent. Works in the office, chasing things like met packs, flight plans, deals with slots, updates systems, does CLC and basically supervises dispatchers and the operation as a whole.

Trash_Hauler, I quite often do all of those things you mentioned as well as Dispatch the flight. So, yes, a Traffic Officer remit falls within that of a Dispatcher these days, or Traffic Officer or TRC or TRM...... what ever you want to call us.

Thanks for the replies.
