Ramp Controller job description
 

Hi,

Could someone please explain what a 'Ramp Controller's duties are. I know what a Ramp Agent does, but am not sure about the controller.

Depending what country you're in - but generally he's sort of like a combination of a flight dispatcher and loading supervisor in that the person oversees operations on the apron on behalf of the airline and ensures loading/fueling/catering/cleaning etc functions are carried out on schedule etc. He's a coordinator.

Also sees that procedures around the aircraft are adhered to with regard to ground handling operations and GHA's.
