Whiskey + coke OR some sort of beer / ale. Never mix them in one hold though or it upsets my 'trim' and i crash into doorframes under a non existant cross wind and go 'tech' for 24 hours :}

On shift, a healthy mix of Irn Bru, Nurofen and Proplus, and whatever food and drink can be relocated from the aircraft... we don't get paid enough to eat otherwise! Off shift... anything that is available! :}

In the words of a guy I once worked with in Germany:

Wise words indeed .......

Germany

Oh yes I remember 6 o'clock in the morning, leaving work after an exciting night shift at Cologne/Bonn and you could head straight for the ale house and have your breakfast there and as many Warstieners, or more probably Koelsch as you wanted, great times!

acmi48 29th November 2008 06:37

i think you will find its tea or coffee

ralle72 2nd December 2008 22:26

during hard winter night shifts you have to stay awake, so my favorite one is vodka and red bull

Tiple

Yes you Could head for a lovely little Gaff on the Cologne ring road, called Tag unt Nacht (day and night), have your breckie and down that beatiful German ale by the bucket load, chances were you would find all your friends in there still up from the night before, finishing with what was known as a secht breakfast (sparkeling white wine), lovely way to finish the night, go home kick the girlfriend and get into bed with the cat, or was is the other way around, that part was always a little hazy!

ralle72 6th December 2008 06:33

effendi, since you´ve been gone - there are almost no "manbags" anymore in the nightshift.
