RVSM
Help - one of our fleet has autopilot u/s therefore no longer RVSM compliant. Can the a/c still operate in london airspace above FL280
with 2000ft separation. I have conflicting information. yur 'tis [This message has been edited by offload (edited 23 April 2001).] |
Check this out: Currently Ireland, the United Kingdom, Germany and Austria are planning for an early application of RVSM between 19 April 2001 and the starting date of EUR RVSM: 24 January 2002. These initiatives should not be seen as an earlier local implementation of RVSM in EUR airspace as described in this web site. I.e. this early application is not based on the procedures and requirements in place for (full) EUR RVSM. The early application of RVSM by the Germany and Austria will consist of the application by ATC of 1000 ft above FL 290 between RVSM approved aircraft on a tactical basis. In the UK and Ireland certain RVSM levels will be flight plannable. Up until 24 January 2002, non-RVSM approved aircraft will not be excluded from the airspace in which this early application is in use. The states involved have issued AICs outlining their plans and specific procedures, and will comply with the full EUR RVSM procedures and requirements as from 24 January 2002.
