Does anybody have info on Dispatch jobs in Oz? Pay, working hours, how difficult is it to get in... any info is welcome.

Dispatcher jobs in Oz are almost impossible to get.......unles you know someone there, or are willing to wait for some of the staff to die!
Aviation is a much more closed industry in Oz than other parts of the world, and it is therefore much harder to get in to a decent job with one of the two majors!

How about the smaller companies or the new ones i.e. Impulse, Virgin Blue? Wouldn't mind flightplanning for bizjets either ... Would a license help me to get in?

Don't know much about flight planning for bizjets, but smaller companies work in a very similar wy to the major ones....not what you know, but who!!

I think Kendell and National Jet are looking for Ops controllers if that helps.

I had interviews with virgin blue not so long back for ground crew, and it really came down to my customer service skills, not my exp. or qual. Don't know about Impulse though.
