Crew Response Times
A quick query for all the charter operators out there - what is the average "airborne from confirmation time"
Cheers |
We went for two hours when we operated from MAN last year and usually made it.
Two hours was a good time. Company policy said crews report 60 mins after initial call and then we'd have the other hour to finish sorting out all the other niff naff. Doc C |
Always worked with 1.30 from call out...

Took us approx 2.5/3 hours to be airbourne from confirmation (this includes 1.5 hr allowed for crew callout). The guys from BWL and EAF are old hands at all this and providing crew on APT SBY they can usually be gone inside the hour - always helpful when you're in the **** !
Bondy ps. JB- got aload of umbongo if interested ? |

We operate a number of light twins, work on 45 - 60 minutes to airborne, also operate about 40 sub charters a month, generally aim to get airborne 1 hr from confirmation, we work in urgent cargo ops so really only use aircraft able to depart base in 1 - 1.5 hrs.

1.5 hours is really pushing it for us Phil !!
