CRM pre-course testing

I am currently looking into the different phases of crm programs and currently focusing on the pre-sourse testing phase. i would greatly appreciate it if anyone could provide me with information about the present methods employed to address this pre-course stage. Also, the methods used by different crm developers would be of great help.
