I am going to get strung up for this, but I was wondering the other day why I never see an old ops/crewing guy/gal.

In eleven airlines I hardly ever saw anyone over 30 let alone 40.

I hope that the reply is good news and that you all progress on in life to far less stresful and lucrative jobs, but I never seem to hear of a retired ops officer.

I think most of us get into the commercial / broking side of things. Some finally follow you guys and take up flying, pro or instructors.

I worked in ops, had a couple of airline jobs in commercial dept of ad-hoc airlines, now I run a brokerage and afllet of light twins.

Now you know

around your house for a knees up when you're on nite stops!

It's a tough job Jumpseater, but someone has to keep her happy !! ;)
