I wrote to the Australian Immigration Services around 2-3 years ago asking about this. The only 2 aviation jobs that appear on the list are Pilot and Licensed a/c engineer.

They also said to contact the Oz Caa, which I did but all said no chance for a dispatcher - not important enough apparently !!.

:ugh:

Saw an ad for Rex ops and crewing jobs recently as well.

Where did you see the ad for Rex? Can't see any Crewing jobs on their website :}

For what it's worth there are Rex jobs on their site now, but I suspect the pay is as poor as it was a couple of years ago when I saw an ad with pay quoted.

Rex at the mo is about $42k base plus allowances, usually around $65k total by the end of the year.

Which IMHO is not fabulous considering the cost of living in SYD.... and they work them pretty hard I believe. Wonder if you have to do lots of overtime to get to $65K? Not being a cynic - I just wonder what the working day is like there?
