Did 747 taxy wrong way at Gatwick today?

Just wondered if anyone can shed any light on something I witnessed at LGW earlier. Did Air Atlanta 747-200 TF-ABA taxy the wrong way at about 12.00 local time? It was taxying in the direction of the holding point to runway 27 when 06 was in use. It stopped short of the holding point and a tug was connected. That was the last I saw as I went in to a meeting soon after. I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Just wondered...

:confused:

Did you mean he was taxying to the hold for Runway 26 when Runway 08 was in use ?? :}

It was doing engine runs. They do them at the Alpha hold when 08 is in use.

Cheers

Ooops, forgot where I was in the world... of course I meant 26 and 08. Gentlemen, I stand corrected.

Yours faithfully,
